Unfortunately, there’s no general-purpose Microsoft Office document repair tool. The closest is ScanPST, a tool specifically created to repair Microsoft Office Outlook’s PST files. Unfortunately it’s only for PST files, and there are no equivalents for other Office file formats that I’m aware of. Rebuild Office 2016 For Mac Database. In Office 2011, a common way to fix this was to rebuild the Office 2011 database (also known as creating a new identity). Before you remove Office for Mac 2011, quit all Office applications and make sure there's nothing in Trash that you want to keep. Leave Office applications closed while you go through this process.
